This is the event of the YEAR! We are inviting current members and industry professionals to our “First Annual Member Appreciation Meeting” on the Potomac aboard the Odyssey III. For this special event our Guest Speaker will be Lance Humphries, Managing Director of MailCom. We will also be honoring our two past Presidents, Isaac Webb and Dana McCormick and meeting MSMA National President Barbara Fahy. This will be an event to remember with Education, Networking, Excellent Food, Beautiful Views and, I shouldn’t say this and don’t mention it to anyone, but it will be a FUN TIME, as well.
PRESENTATION: Do you REALLY know what is going on?
Lance will provide his special insight on the state of the mailing/distribution industry with a focus on job trends. The presentation will discuss where there is growth in jobs, in what sectors and where jobs are being lost. Join him and your fellow professionals to get the inside scoop, find out what will the future look like and how you can plan to be one step ahead. Also included will be the latest information on the USPS, MSMA and MAILCOM Las Vegas.

Lance has been the Managing Director of the MAILCOM Conference for over 24 years, organizing, managing and educating thousands of industry professionals. Previously, he was Corporate Vice President of one of the largest Banks in the Northeast. He served on the National Board of the Mail Systems Management Association for over 25 years in various executive positions. He is currently an active member of the USPS Mailers Technical Advisory Council (MTAC) representing MSMA members. During his service as a US Marine he held numerous management positions including Instructor, Postal Inspector and Postmaster.
Odyssey III departs from Gangplank Marina at the corner of 6th and Water Streets. A three course plated lunch is included with coffee, tea and ice tea; other beverages are extra, and a Jazz Trio for a casual atmosphere. The dress is business casual, No Casual Jeans, T-Shirts, Shorts, Athletic Shoes or FLIP FLOPS. Parking is at the Gangplank Lot off of Water St. and surrounding lots. The Early-Bird price is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. After July 21st, the price is $50 for members and $60 for non-members. These special discounted prices are courtesy of the MSMA Washington Metro Chapter. All registrations must be received and paid up front. Walk-ups and pay-at-the-door will not be accepted. Every payment will be confirmed back to the registrant. Boarding tickets will be issued at the Marina starting at 11:15am. The Odyssey departs at 12:00noon and arrives back at 2:00pm.
