What a great 2014 we had and 2015 will be even better. We have an exciting year planned to bring you outstanding education opportunities, MDC certification training and networking with industry leaders and your peers. You will enhance your skills, expand your opportunities for success and hopefully, add new friends and have some fun along the way.
This is our first event of the year and you don’t want to miss it! We are excited to have our own Washington Metro Chapter Executive Board member Rod Toney to share his knowledge, experiences and successes with his presentation about achievements in mail and transportation that can easily translate into success for you and your organization.
Presentation: Mail & Distribution Systems Center Performance Improvement: A Strategic Plan
Johns Hopkins is an exceptional education and medical institution that is well-known nationally and around the world for its miraculous work. It continues to grow and expand and so does its mail and transportation challenges. This presentation will show you how the Johns Hopkins Hospitals Mail Center strategically implemented technology to streamline operations and reduce costs through mail integration and performance management. Topics include automation, database management, workflow mapping, and utilizing metrics as a power of influence.
Speaker: Roderick Toney, EMCM, MDC, Manager of Mail Distribution and Transport System for
Johns Hopkins University, Hospitals and School of Medicine. He has over 25 years in the mailing industry and is responsible for the oversight of mail processing, distribution, customer services, retail packaging kiosks and strategic initiatives. Rod serves on a variety of committees and local organizations which includes the Washington Metro Chapter of the Mail Systems Management Association Executive Board, the Baltimore USPS Postal Customer Council Executive Board, and recently the Johns Hopkins Labor Negotiations Team. He holds the United States Postal Services designation as Executive Mail Center Manager (EMCM), and recently attained the Mailpiece Design Consultant (MDC) certification. Rod will also be a speaker at MailCom-Atlanta in March.
This Membership Lunch and Learn Meeting and Networking event will be held on Thursday, February 12th 11:30am to 2:00pm at HeiTech Services Inc., 8400 Corporate Drive, Suite 500, Landover MD, 20785.
