Leadership, Management in Remote Workplaces - Recruitment, Retention and Training
Many workplaces and teams continue in a remote environment. This poses particular challenges and opportunities for those of us in the direct mail industry. What advantages does remote work provide direct mail teams, what are the drawbacks? How do we address particular issues with training remotely, and how do we retain talent in the absence of face-to-face communication? This workshop will tackle these topics and others pertaining to professional growth and strategic leadership.
Zach Bowden is the Director of Postal Logistics and Data Processing at Direct Marketing Solutions, which has locations in Portland, Oregon and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Zach has a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has experiences in academia, the outdoor industry and animal rescue. Zach has been in the direct mail industry for over 10 years, and currently oversees the relationships between DMS and our Postal and logistics partners, and leads the data processing and variable data print programming teams. He is the industry co-chair of the Greater Portland PCC, a founding member of the National Association of Direct Mail and Logistics, and is a frequent presenter at the National Postal Forum and PCC events.
